I like this image very much due to the monochrome effect of this colour image with its atmospheric, washed out, painted look. The crane is not position on or near a third, but the balance of the image makes it work very well. |
The faint graffiti and the raindrops on the glass of the bus shelter accentuate the fact that this is taken through clear glass. There is no balance in the image. I contemplated a squarer crop, but this would have taken away the water droplets which are essential to the image. I tried various viewpoints and angles, but this resulted in even more clutter than there is in the bottom part of the image. |
